Google is the best search engine available. It provides relavent results for novice users, as well as more expert users. They also have a nice set of APIs for programmers to use to gain access to their robust database of web sites.

    This book, written by Tara Calishain and Rael Dornfest, is a collection of industrial-strength, real-world, tested solutions to practical problems. This concise book offers a variety of interesting ways for power users to mine the enormous amount of information that Google has access to. A corresponding Pocket Guide is also available. Information from O'Reilly, the publisher, is available on their web site.
