If you are viewing a web page, and you know that certain contents have changed (like
images), but the changes are not reflected in what you're seeing, you may have to
clear your browser's cache so that you can see the new, updated content.
To do that, follow the instructions below, based on what browser you're using:
- Netscape Navigator/Communicator
- Click on the "Edit" menu, and select "Preferences".
- Click the small plus sign (+) next to the word "Advanced".
- Click on "Cache" once, so that it's highlighted.
- Click the "Clear Memory Cache" button on the right.
- Click the "Clear Disk Cache" button on the right.
- Click "OK".
- Click the "Reload" button to refresh the page and see the current content.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Click on the "Tools" menu, and select "Internet Options".
- Make sure the "General" tab is selected (it usually is by default).
- In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click the "Delete Files" button.
- If you're prompted to confirm this action, just click "OK".
- Click "OK".
- Click the "Refresh" button to refresh the page and see the current content.
- Opera
- Click on the "File" menu, and select "Preferences".
- Click on "History and cache" once, so that it's highlighted.
- In the "Disk cache" section on the right, click the "Empty now" button.
- Click "OK".
- Click the "Reload" button (looks like a green recycle triangle) to refresh the page and see the current content.
